Week 3

Today during tutorial class, Ms Fatimah discuss the tutorial question as usual, then she give us an interesting activity.

First she ask us to take out our extra T-shirt that she last week ask us prepare, then she read some steps how to fold a T-shirt, we follow the instruction, most student can't do it well. Next she show us those steps on screen with words, we do again, and this time we do better then just now. At last, she show a video on YouTube how to fold a shirt in few seconds, most of us can do well this time. The result show that, video method is most easy to let people understand compare with words or sound.

Before end of class, Ms Fatimah choose some students come out have a small competition of folding shirt, last is the student who wearing yellow T-shirt win this contest, he do in fast and nice, we all guessing maybe he have been work for shopping complex fold shirt before. before we go, Ms Fatimah remind us again about the trip of next week and ask people confirm faster, we all hope that day come faster.

Week 2

Week 2

From lecture class we attended this week, we found out that class that we are participating now are very interesting. Different from other officially lecture classes. Knowledge Management class is more on having activities to assist us in learning and understanding. This practical activities had been included for 1st week and 2nd week. Further interesting activities are expected from each of our members.

Activities that had been held by Ms. Fatimah, who was our knowledge management respective lecturer are actually a basic sketch of chart. As shown in picture, it was about our daily routine.We learned one of those skills on how to manage knowledge. This picture is adopted from one of our group member and credited by Xin Ee.

As well as other group mate, they had also roughly make their daily routine as shown on above. A basic sketch but very effective and easy way to understand and gain control. Although some of the students might had learned this concepts, but from 2nd week of Knowledge Management lecture class, stronger mastering management skills might had occurred.

Week 1

Week 1, 1st class of KM make us feel tension because we all know nothing about the KM. But after 2 hours of lecturer, we getting to know what is KM and why it is important. We also have learn about some basic idea like describe the differentiate between data, information & knowledge.

In the class, madam have give us some activity to let us get what the idea she is trying to teach about. The activity is ask all of us to draw a flower, after everyone finish drawing, we realize that not all the people draw an actual same flower compare to others people. According to this activity, we know that information is what madam ask us to draw flower and we draw out depends on our knowledge and experience. Another activity is let us differentiate between tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge by asking us to draw a MMU map for a several building.

At the end of the class, madam have discuss with us about the date of a 1 day trip, this trip is for us to visit Bank Negara Malaysia, the reason is Bank Negara Malaysia have a exclusive KM department. And of course we are very surprise to hear that we are going to Bank Negara sooner to get some management knowledge from there.

In further study and classes, we expect that we will be getting handful on how to manage the knowledge we mastered. This subject would be a supportive case for future assist to successful career. We will be continue to blog the knowledge we learned in next class.
